Torpado to Tommaso

(Tommaso)

(Stripped Torpado)

The new bike frame, wheels, and components were a tag sale find ($25). Everything else was funded by ebay sales of Torpado parts. It rides so much better than the last one and took a fraction of the time to put together. May still need a new cassette and chain, but I’ll do that when I get a professional tune-up in the future.

Oh and I wear bike shorts now- in public. Look for it.

Thanks for the Help

A big thanks to these two guys- without them, I wouldn't have been able to get the kitchen done. Kodish (right) loaded the materials into the back of his Prius (a lot of room in those things) and Jeremy (left-obviously) spent a few days giving advice, lifting, cutting, drinking beer, and listening to me swear in the kitchen.

Thanks again guys.

Kitchen Redux 1

Needing to feel useful, I started yet another project. The overwhelming amount of pink surfaces in our kitchen impelled me to act, and now it is well on its way. It will be a few more days before I’m done with the countertops and drywall, but I am having a good time. The floor tile is next, but I may take a break from the kitchen before I attempt that; the home theater needs attention and the bike needs riding.
More to come

Ba Haba

We just got back from Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine.

We were there from for a week and had a blast.

In attendance:

Dan and Michelle
Trevor and Nicole (first half)
Chris and Carrie
Eric and Kristen (first half)
Ann and Jes (Ann all week, Jes second half)

Three dogs
Five teenagers
Nine children

There are more hiking and camp pics that we took with other cameras that will be up soon.

It’s good to be home, but I already miss the place.
