Those Orange Glasses

I generally wouldn’t let a student take a picture of me and put it on myspace, nor would I put a link to a student’s myspace on my blog. But this seems both funny and harmless. And hey, if the vice principal is on there- I should be safe.

The premise should be clear. Get as many people around the school as possible to wear “those orange glasses” and then photograph them.

For those of you that hate teenagers- this might just kill you.

Enjoy

Back to School Shopping

As an English teacher with my sights on some form of administration, I need to look more professional. So I decided to rock blazers more often.

But these shirts are going to be proudly displayed under those blazers (some of the time at least).

Check’em out (if you haven’t already).

and buy them for me

Quick Update: I also really enjoy “I will seduce you with wine and dance”- “Charmingly Awkward”- and “Weekend Pirate." Those however are for my personal life.

Something I Noticed while Laughing on the Ride to Work

Now- I love both David Sedaris and Brak. I am not trying to offend either of them by saying that there is (I think) an obvious similarity between their voices.

Here is a classic Brak bit about a monkey and a clip from “Six to Eight Black Men” by David Sedaris.

You be the judge.

Quicktime required.

We Lose Another One to the World

Saturday Maggie and I (along fellow coworkers and countless other people) went to Monroe, CT to wish our friend Rich Fry good luck and bid him farewell.

Rich is off to St. Thomas in a few short weeks to give it a go in the sun and surf.

The event was a large family keg party with a band, food, and games. It was the closest thing to a frat party that I’ve been to in years.

We were introduced to many good people and an interesting game called beer dice (which we’ll introduce to people once we get better at it).

Good Luck Rich. We know you’ll do well.

Paintball Commercial Part 1

This is a rough cut of one of the paintball commercials that I was in this summer. I am only in this one for a split second loading my CO2 tank into my marker (around 18 seconds into the video) and one of those guys running around and sliding into things is me.

The resolution looks way better from the source than it does on Youtube, but it will give you the idea. The director would like you to know that this is a rough cut so there will be improvements to come.

The next three commercials in the series should have more of me in it- so… wait for that. Also influences such as Saving Private Ryan, The Matrix, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and so on.

The company is looking to expand into film and also looking for a good web designer for their site.

Enjoy.
