Apartment Up for Grabs (and tentative moving dates)
In case you missed the comment I posted below, the inspection went well and we’re moving forward as planned.
We have a lawyer, a lender, and homeowners insurance.
Our closing is set for January 31st. Our current landlord wants to charge us for February rent if we’re here until the 2nd unless we find someone who wants it but doesn’t want to move in ASAP (or we pull off the crafty maneuver outlined below).
My new plan:
Load the truck on January 26th or 27th
Park it at a friend’s house (thank you Kodish)
Be totally out by the 30th
Unload it on February 2nd
So if you know someone who wants an East Rock apartment or if you have any of those dates free, let us know.

Jes and I are in both weekends (although you might get us in shifts). Congratulations!
If you need a place so sleep after packing up - you can go to grams - she has the extra bedrooms - I know itis out of the way but if your furniture is in a truck it would be better than sleeping in the truck or on the floor

Awesome Ann, thanks. We hope that the two weekend thing (if we have to do that) won't make in hard on people that promised to help. It just means that they get more pizza and beer as payment.
Mom- yeah we thought about grams in our list of possible places we could stay. We won't be staying in a uhaul in Jan- that's for sure.
Someone came to look at it today, and if they take it we can move on the 2nd (all in one day). More to come.
