Cinema Stud: Cinderella Man

See it.
Maybe my new favorite depression-era story of hope (sorry Seabiscuit)
Best Russell Crowe performance since Gladiator
Best Ron Howard film since Backdraft
Maybe my favorite boxing film (sorry Raging Bull)
One of the few times I could stomach Renée Zellweger
More than a few ties to In America
Paul Giamatti

If you haven’t seen it and plan to, read nothing else about the movie or the life of Jim Braddock.

And no, Cinema Stud will not be an ongoing title for movie reviews.

Mags said it was great, too. I'll have to check it out. Looking forward to seeing both of you at the end of the month!

Matt & I saw it in the theater & out of the goodness of our hearts traded seats with two little people that were stuck with seats that had an obstructed view. There was a bar/railing blocking the bottom of the screen and I feel like I missed the bottom of the movie, but wanted to point out that we are occasionally nice to people smaller than us.

By "little people" do you mean midgets?

Maggie rented the full screen version of the film, so we definitely missed some of the movie. We still liked it though.

Yes, midgets.
