Christmas in New Haven

It's just about here. Look what we found while shopping downtown.

Historically, luminaria function as a part of worship ceremonies or as a beacon for travelers on darkened roads. Both were true for us.

Wow. That's beautiful. Were the lights just around the main part of the green near the tree or did they cover more of downtown?

They were just on the green behind the three churches. I didn't realize how many pathways there were until they were lit up in the dark. Downtown this season has really been great. And shopping there is better than the mall or the internet.
